Has it really been almost two months since I last posted here? Wow. Anyways, the girls are back. I'm always looking for more, so if you know a good stock photography site, let me know. If you make an account and log in, another option is added to the girl selector at the top of the page. It's worth your while, trust me. I promised that there would be a comments section on this blog page by now. Turns out I lied. But I did get the rating system finished, and it's been used by a whopping 0 people. Ah well. I've been really busy at work lately. That is a link to the form we have to fill out where we rate our own performance. It's not as good as the last one I filled out, but I was short on time.

I don't know what is next for AmmoNow. Well over 300 people a day are using the site, which really makes me happy. I guess one day I will get around to writing a comments area. Enjoy the site!

A lot has happened around here in the last few days. The login system is working. Right now that doesn't mean shit, but hopefully after tommorow having an account here will give you access to posting reviews and comments about retailers and rounds, and being able to set up an automatic search where you can get emailed about ammo that has a certain keyword or is below a certain price, etc. I had that on the old AmmoNow and a few people got some use out of it. The search is working now too! Try it out!

If while you are on the site you start getting errors, don't worry about it. Give me about 5 minutes and everything will be OK. I work on the site live, so when I screw something up, it can take down the entire site. Oh, and expect lots of errors throughout today, I am going to do my work from the Tomlinson Tap Room in Indianapolis' awesome city market. The tap room sports 16 Indiana-brewed beers on tap.

I guess that's about it for now. After the work I am going to put into the site today, I think it will finally be "finished." If there's anything you'd like to see on the site, let me know!

The new page

AmmoNow is doing pretty well. Before the great wankery of Webkeepers, who suspended my virtual server account, didn't tell me, then left for the weekend, the site was getting at least 300 visitors a day. Now we are down to around 250 a day, but the numbers are steadily rising. I'm certainly not getting rich off this site- this month was the first month in AmmoNow's 3 year history that any significant money has been made. But its not about the money. If it was, I'd have shitcanned the site two years ago. Its about the ammo. And it should be about the community that we gun nuts share. To that end I tried to integrate a chat box with the site a few months ago. It went horribly wrong. It was ugly, didn't render right on many browsers, so I got rid of it. But I've always wanted to have some way for the members of this community and this site to be able to communicate with one another.

I created AmmoNow from nothing. It started out as a friend's idea. With his blessing, I stole the idea. He was too busy to actually make anything happen. I have no life and plenty of time on my hands, so I started working. Things started coming together. AmmoNow is officially on its 3rd major version, but in reality its probably on number six or seven. I'm pretty content with how it is now. Where am I going with all this? AmmoNow is my baby. I blew a load of perl into the vagina of the internet, and this is what came out. It feels very strange for me to have 250+ people a day hold my baby without me knowing anything about them, or them knowing anything about me.

So, I made the Random Crap of the Week page. This is here so I can post news, things I find funny, things I am pissed about, etc. Its a place where I can be offtopic for a bit. I will never advertise anything here, or link to anything that could make me money. My integrity is worth more than the current pay-per-click rate (but not much more).

PS: There will be a comments section on here. Once I stop watching stupid videos on the internet and get the login and ratings system written. With the comments and ratings system in place, I won't feel that you 250+ people a day complete strangers, and maybe our community will get just a little tighter.
